Permissions should have an understandable connection to a feature you choose to use.
FIELD NOTE 01
Match permission to purpose
A chosen avatar upload may explain a photo-selection request. That does not automatically explain access to contacts, SMS contents, or accessibility controls.
FIELD NOTE 02
Use the narrowest option
When Android offers selected-photo or one-use access, consider whether it meets your need. Menu options vary by device and Android release.
FIELD NOTE 03
Review after setup
Open Android’s app permission settings and remove access you do not use. If the app stops functioning, ask the publisher to explain the requirement before restoring it.
FIELD NOTE 04
Keep protective services active
Do not disable Play Protect or install a remote-support tool at a stranger’s request. Familiar branding is not sufficient evidence of a trusted package.
